I don't usually judge hostels and hotels harshly, at all, but with Happy Go Lucky the only thing we were happy about was leaving. The reception staff was uninterested and unfriendly, the rooms were extremely noisy and guests continued being loud all through the night. I wear earplugs while sleeping and even then we could still make out the language people were speaking in the hallway. The building was old and unkempt, the beds were bad, the hallway showers weren't any good and were in the same room as the toilets so while trying to shower peacefully for ten minutes you'd have people banging on your door wanting to pee. Granted, it was extremely cheap and next to a train station, but if we'd have known beforehand this was what we were getting for our money we would've simply spent more on a better place.
