I stayed in 2 different lodgings. First was the Shasta Starr Ranch B&B nothing then good words; friendly owner and innkeeper, domestic, the bathrooms can use some remodeling, but everything clean and working. Coffee, Tea, Wine and each day pastries were complimentary! You could feel these people were not in just for the money, they did everything from their heart.
How different, the other place I stayed was in Dickon's Cottage, down town (twice as expensive!) and the service was abominable. I was eaten by bedbugs (162 bites, had to see my doctor; gave me pills and oinment and diagnosed bed bugs). The organisation didnt reply till after the days they knew I would be gone. For 2 days I slept in that bed and the last day i slept on the kitchenfloor, on some towels. Not a nice night before your intercontinental trip home!
The energy of Mount Shasta is overwelming. I would recommend to go there, feel it and see it with your own eyes.
