This is a well placed, well appointed hotel in the middle of Cardiff, and perfect for a short stay in the city. The refurbishment appears to have been handled well and the rooms are well decorated, warm and comfortable. On the whole the hotel met our expectations, however we haveone minor grumble. The service at breakfast fell short of the hotel's high standards. Whilst there were sufficient staff on duty, they did not seem to realise what was happening. We had to ask for everything from bowls, plates, milk, tee & coffee, toast. Having said that the breakfast was very good.
Also beware - the hotel has a small car park which costs £10 per day but is open to non residents. We were lucky as we arrived just as a shopper was leaving the car park - the final parking space there.
